Flour & Sun was founded in 2009 by Denise Treco, cupcake connoisseur and passionate baker. In 2014 Denise decided she wanted to focus on some of her other passions including film and food blogging so she sold the bakery in August of 2014 to the head baker, Caitlin Dwyer, who has been with Flour & Sun since 2011.
Denise knew that Cait, who is a graduate of the prestigious Baking & Pastry Arts and Food Service Management program at Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island, would keep the baking standards of Flour & Sun on the same level that they have always been while also bringing some of her creativity and personality into the award winning
It has been Cait’s dream since she was very young to own a bakery by the time she was 30. With the help of her mother, Therese Olson Dwyer, a Pleasantville native, and the amazing team at Flour & Sun, her dream has come true!
